Yes its true Instagram for Android has launched.
Instagram for Android is now available for practically every Android smartphone n the Google Play Store as a free download.
Instagram for Android is more than just a photography app with artistic filters, it’s also a huge social network with over 27 million users. The Instagram community will grow today as the millions of Android users can now download the popular app.
Instagram for Android doesn’t have the same issues Temple Run did at launch, with support for any Android phone running Android 2.2 or higher.
Instagram’s CEO claims that Instagram for Android is better than the iPhone version, something I’m already testing out now that we have the Instagram Android app on my Galaxy Nexus. At first glance, the app looks much like the iPhone app you’ve envied for months, but as you move through menus and settings you see distinct Android markings.
Instagram for Android allows you to take photos, apply filters and then share with the Instagram community as well as post to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Foursquare; support for Flickr is coming soon. You can use the front or back camera to take photos inside the Instagram app.
One feature that is missing is the ability to post photos to Google+.
Early user reviews are positive, though there are reports of unknown errors by some posters
